{mosimage}This morning I got up early and headed off to Optus @ Garden City to get the iPhone 2.0 (which is technically, the first iPhone to hit our shores).

As we had paid our deposit of $50 to allow us 2 hour priority service, we got to Garden City early and had to walk around the center trying to find a way in, as it didn't officially open til 9am.

After finding an entrance we made our way and joined the queue. After watching the clock countdown and then waiting another 20 minutes, the line started to move. At this point, we were told that if you wanted a Prepaid 16GB, you were out of luck. No stock. A couple of people had their details taken down and then they left. Meanwhile, the queue moved very slowly.

MS says Apple liesIn a recent Register article, "Microsoft believes Apple is winning the battle on the desktop using "lies" and "myths" against Windows Vista, and has promised to fight back."

This article hits home with "whether it's the power of the TV spot or Microsoft's own ineptitude in delivering a delayed operating system that was too bloated for most PCs already out there to handle and that lacked adequate third-party support, Apple's has grabbed 6.6 per cent of the desktop market in the US during Windows Vista's lifetime."

Look out for my Vista day by day usage report soon.
